The American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society was founded in 1913 with the goal of raising awareness for cancer. Thanks to the American Cancer Society, there are 14.5 million cancer survivors celebrating their birthdays this year. Through out the year, the Beta Psi chapter holds and participates in events to fundraise for and support the American Cancer Society. We participate in a Breast Cancer Walk in the fall and Relay for Life in the spring to support this organization.
To learn more about the American Cancer Society, please visit their website: http://www.cancer.org/index.
Our sisters have been active participants and top fundraisers for the Relay for Life at Brandeis University. We have also incorporated the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Boston into our Annual Women's Weekend.
If you have any questions about the work we do with the American Cancer Society, feel free to contact our Vice President of Programming, Sara Getzoff (saragetzoff99@brandeis.edu).
